Bomburu Ella is situated on the boarder of Nuwaraeliya and badulla districts in Sri Lanka, offering a waterfall experience that might make you feel like you' re in Newzeland. The Surroundings of the waterfall are filled with lush greenery, creating a beautiful environment. To reach the waterfall, a 2km (15 minute) hike is required.
The waterfall is a collection of 10 little jungle waterfalls, as mentioned on various websites. It's important to note that camping at the site is not allowed, but visitors are welcome to have picnic in the premises .
The best part is there is no entry tickets required to see bomburu ella. Along the road, there is a mini shops owned by villagers. I recommended to trying the local delicious pol roti with alakola curry and with a plain tea. It's a marvelous experience that adds a unique touch to your journey as a traveler.
